Where to Take Graduation or Senior Photos in Fort Myers (That Aren’t the Beach)

Hey friends! I’m Natasha — a Fort Myers photographer who’s completely obsessed with golden light, real smiles, and helping high school (and college!) seniors feel like total rockstars in front of the camera.
If you’re graduating soon — or you’re a proud parent looking for ideas — this one’s for you.
Fort Myers has so many underrated spots that make senior photos feel fresh, stylish, and full of personality. Sure, the beach is always beautiful (and yes, we can totally do that), but I wanted to share some less expected places that make your photos stand out.
1. Downtown Fort Myers – Murals, Brick, and Artsy Vibes
Downtown is like a creative playground — vintage brick alleys, bold murals, and those cute string lights by the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. It’s perfect if you want an urban-chic vibe with a touch of color.
Pro tip: Wear something bold or playful — sneakers and a leather jacket? Yes. Flowing dress with Converse? Also yes.
2. Koreshan State Park – Hidden Gem with Major Vibes
Most people have never even heard of this place — and that’s why I love it. Koreshan has everything from bamboo gardens to dreamy boardwalks to weathered wooden buildings that look like they belong in a movie.
Vibe: Boho, nature-loving, adventurous
Bring: A flowy dress, boots, and maybe your guitar if that’s your thing.
3. Banyan Trees + Sunlight = Edison & Ford Winter Estates Magic
Okay, let’s talk banyan trees. They’re dramatic, iconic, and the light that filters through them in the afternoon? Unreal. If you want classic-meets-cool, this place is full of history and natural beauty without being overdone.
Just be sure to check for any photography permits or hours ahead of time!
4. The Rooftop Parking Garage Shot (Trust Me on This One)
This one’s for the bold seniors who want something a little different. There's a garage in downtown with this epic rooftop view of the skyline and palm trees. It gives model off-duty energy, especially at golden hour.
Tip: Bring your cap & gown and let the wind do its thing with your hair.
5. The Lakeside Library at FGCU (Yes, Seriously)
If you're a college senior at FGCU or even a high schooler wanting an academic feel, the library’s modern glass backdrop, lakeside path, and open sky make it surprisingly beautiful. It feels modern and clean — not what you’d expect from a campus photo.
6. Your Favorite Local Spot (Let’s Make It Personal)
The best locations are the ones that mean something. Your high school stadium. The coffee shop you basically lived in junior year. Your grandparents’ backyard. I love weaving personal stories into your session — and those spots make the photos feel like you.
What to Bring for Your Senior Shoot (Aside from Your Amazing Self):
2–3 outfits (at least one casual and one dressy)
Your cap and gown
Something that reflects your personality — like a guitar, sports gear, books, or even your dog
An open mind and your favorite playlist — yes, we dance at sessions
Let’s Make Some Magic
If you're ready to plan a senior session that feels like YOU — relaxed, stylish, and full of fun — let’s chat. I shoot in Fort Myers, Estero, Naples, Cape Coral, and pretty much anywhere with sunshine and good vibes.
