I photograph a lot of families that are not from this area~ Taking pictures at the beach in SW Florida can have its challenges because there is not a lot of shade which makes it difficult when you are dealing with lots of bright sun. Fortunately I have dealt with shooting in these conditions for years, so I consider myself a pro! I should say “ha-ha” but, there is always that “RAIN” factor which makes me kind of a weather person, as well. So besides a photographer I am also a Meteorologist 🙂 just in case you were wondering. Fort Myers weather has been really strange this past year. Usually when it rains during the Summer it would always rain and then the rain would go away. Afternoon showers were the norm, however this Summer the rain was throughout the day, it rained in the morning, at night, afternoon, at all different hours.
But wanna know a secret? I would rather photograph a session when its cloudy than when it is sunny~ the overcast sky makes for such a beautiful lighting, colors pop, and skin tones are beautiful. So before you want to cancel a session because it looks like it will rain or it looks cloudy –think again. That beautiful light of the hazy overcast sky is absolutely wonderful. Wish I could bottle it up so I could take it with me every time I do a shoot. Here is a lovely family visiting the Fort Myers area, they will be having a new girl in a few months. They did sooooo good!! loved them 🙂
