Its beginning to look like Christmas!

Six more shopping days left! So if you are scrambling to get the perfect gift for that difficult person~ look no more. How about a gift certificate for  a photo session.  There are not a lot of gifts out there that will last a lifetime.. this is one of them. I mean who doesn’t love photos? So the weather just now feels like the Holidays are here. It was beginning to feel the cold weather was never going to get here. I wanted to go and buy a tree but it really didn’t feel like Christmas, so I had to buy a tree while still 80 degrees outside. I don’t want to rub it in anyones faces, especially with the terrible weather up north.  All of my clients who are from out of town are really enjoying the weather. I usually would have to be all covered up for my beach sessions during this time but haven’t had to. Its been quite perfect.

Had a blast with the {S} family.. They had a blast and were so laid back and awesome!! I hope I get to see them again. 🙂 Look at the fun we had. 5 boys and 1 girl… 🙂

I just ready that it was the 8th hottest October recorded in history.. and yes I believe it is because its has been a very hot season. to think that we are at the end of November is crazy.. another month has gone by, it seems like I am always writing on how fast time has been passing, I just feel its a part of my life and I always feel like month after month passes by so quickly. I wrapped up a bunch of Holiday mini sessions~ it was nice seeing all of my clients that I have been photographing for the past years. LOVE to watch them grow. and I love how Loyal my clients are. 🙂 BIG hugs to everyone out there!!

Here are some great thanksgiving ideas~

by shugarysweets

Don’t they look delicious? Yummy

So while looking for good crafts for children so they can do at school or at home I stumbled upon this on pinterest

thanksgiving craftpinthisimage I have done this where we write these little notes and put them inside a mason jar, so Adorable! still have them from years ago. I like doing crafts that will last, don’t like crafts that are made of paper and we end up throwing away. I love meaningful crafts that we can all do and look back, so when the kids grow we can always have them.

Talk about beautiful leaves… love and will be doing this emilyisabellejournal  great artist.. love!!

The colors she used for the leaves makes my heart melt. Check and follow her tumblr

I do love the choice of leaves she chose, they aren’t perfect, each leaf has a personality of their own~ simply adorable.

I love finding new ideas so I figured I am going to start sharing these ideas on here, although I am photographer I am a big fan of crafts! and would love to incorporate my love for the craft world on here since I only have time to write on one blog. I have no time as it is and having two separate blogs would be impossible for now. Might do this later in 2014, for now I am doing it here.. so if you are a fan of photography or a fan of craft ideas, we know that pinterest in king BUT looking through all the pinterest posts can be overwhelming at least for me it is, there is so much good information that I am narrowing down all of my favorites and posting some here.

Look at what I found, a great way to chart your little ones progress with a whiteboard, so we put the photo on there and then write the most exciting idea with whiteboardpinthisimage

I am kind of jealous of this one as my little one has not slept that long since he was born a year ago!!!

Anyways have a great Thanksgiving with the family and be thankful for all the blessings in your life…

ONLY 40 days till CHRISTMAS!! The Holidays are around the corner, it will be thanksgiving in two more weeks! In 7 days my little one will turn one!! :0 WHERE did this year go? Babies should stay babies longer!!!! its not fair how fast they grow~ and well everyone outthere who has kids knows and knows exactly what I am talking about.

IT is that time of year for our Holiday mini sessions!! I am booking another round of these sessions since I sold out on my first round..  YAY, last year I was rushing to do these because I was going to deliver any minute. Now a year later and let me tell how this year has been the fastest year thus far. I am setting up my holiday mini sessions. SO get them while they last because these go extremely fast. I only do these once  year, since I only offer a few spots at a time it is first come first serve. Grab your little family, dress them up in cute little outfits but not too matchy. matchy, tell your husband it will only take 15 minutes out of his day. This is a perfect session for whoever is wanting a photo for their Christmas cards, gifts for the family, enlargements and canvases.

I have so many wardrobe options this year for you guys, I would be happy to email you the info so you can see all of these beautiful clothes!

Because I feel so Christmasy ( is that how you spell that?) I am giving  a lucky person a mini session! Ok so here is the deal ~ subscribe to my email newsletters and we will automatically put you in for our drawing. I will notify you via email if you are the winner.

You know what would be a great gift? A photo session ofcourse, it lasts a lifetime. I mean how many gifts out there can you say they are gifts for  lifetime? NOT MANY. So for that hard to shop family or friend why not give them a gift certificate. Oh and I am doing something spectacular this year~ I will be offering Mini session Gift certificates~ which means it will be cheaper YAY! I know the Holidays can be tough on your wallet so with this mini gift certificate you wont have to spend that much.  Email me and Ill be happy to email you all the details on this great GIFT idea!

I leave you with this great website you must check out annekata a great source on how to make tape! WE all need tape this holiday and WAIT until you see that you can make your own tape using anything ( like fabric) yep fabric.. AMAZING! in another life I want to be a crafter because I loveeeeee new ideas and making things. Although I don’t have time because I clearly don’t make time to do all these fun things.

Another Halloween has passed by~ and it will be November tomorrow.. YiKES!  Can you believe it? Ok so November is one of the busiest times of the year for me.  I know that there are a lot of tourists in the Fort Myers area visiting during this time of year. There is a bunch of things to do here. Downtown Fort Myers will be opening the streets on November 10~ its a way to fight obesity as they close the streets to cars and encourage people to walk. Streets Alive! was created to incorporate fun, fitness and food to promote healthier lifestyles by temporarily closing streets to motor vehicles and opening them for people to have fun and get active. A fun and festive setting where participants will be encouraged to have some human-powered fun — walking, biking, jogging, Zumba, hopscotch, skateboarding, street games, jump rope, yoga, dancing and more — along a 2-3 mile route.  Sounds like fun! I know that the weather has to be nice during this time. We have had a very hot season and today while trick or treating it was sooo hot that the kids where all in bad moods because the costumes were not helping. So I was working on this blog post last night but couldn’t finish it haha too tired from the days festivities. Anyhow it is November 1 today 🙁 yeah not too happy about that one. Here are a list of great things to do while visiting Fort Myers If you are into wine Eden wine  is a great place, its a small local business that is family operated. There are six homegrown wines, including Alva Rouge and Alva White. Prices range from USD8.95 to USD10.95 for 750 ml bottles Interested in doing a safari everglades style? this safari will be a picture perfect. Get up close and personal with Florida’s wildlife on a daylong Everglades Day Safari. Guides lead small groups by airboat, van, riverboat, and on foot.  The Safari can be long for younger children, so try the half-day safari. Now if you rather see the everglades from ontop Gulfshore helicopters is pretty neat~The flights operate out of Page Field, which is south of downtown on US 41 (not Southwest Florida Regional Airport). Manatee park  offers great sightseeing if you are wanting to watch the manatees. During the months from October through March, the manatees travel to the area, attracted by the warm water discharge from the nearby Florida Power plant. I will be adding different things to do in the Fort Myers area every month. So check them out while you are vacationing here, there are lots of things to do besides the beaches.   A very Floridian thing to do while visiting Fort Myers, Florida is to go to the Sun Harvest Citrus shop which has delicious fresh oranges, the whole theme is oranges and typical things Florida is known for like Key lime pie. You can get samples of refreshing juices , grapefruit juice, strawberry orange juice, Orange juice. All of these are freshly made on the premises. You can also send some fruit to your loved ones or buy unique presents from Florida. Oh I almost forgot to mention about the wonderful ice cream they offer. Yummy!fort-myers-photographerspinthisimagephoto credit : Sun Harvest Citrus website.   If you are wanting to slide down some tubes and relax in the lazy river, Sun Splash  water park would be a great place to take the kids and family.  The little area for little kids is wonderful and kids can spend hours having fun splashing away. Their schedule varies so you might want to look at their calendar before making plans. hView here  This is in Cape Coral but its just a bridge away if you are visiting Fort Myers. A must do while in town is mini golf. They have some awesome golf courses you can play with the kids, with waterfalls, and lagoons. My favorite mini golf place is Castle golf . Location is great~ and the whole design of the course is super fun and challenging for all ages. I love the fact that if you make a whole in one you can win prizes. Right next to this is Lakes Park, one of the best known parks here in the SW Florida. With trails you can run and ride bikes on, you can take a stroll walking or rollerblading. Dont have a bike? You can always rent one, they have a bike where the whole family can jump into. ITs fun but its hard work peddle, so make sure you have water with you because its a workout for sure! You can also rent a boat , but make sure you book it when you get there as they tend to run out of boats. I have never seen an alligator on the premises but you never know if one day one will appear. So always be careful.  One thing they have that is quite different is a train ride around the park. Its super fun for the little ones 🙂 A must if you visit the park. Check their website here Feeling brave and wanting to find some gold? How about rhe pirate cruise? Kids of all ages love this cruise, the cruise puts on a show that is entertaining and unique. Pirate cruises run daily remember during the Summer it does get pretty hot. They offer a little discount if you book online. Pirate cruise If you are visiting the Naples area make sure to stop by at the Golisano Childrens museum , an interactive childrens museum that has Igloos, a grocery store surrounded by a giant tree that is the center of the museum. You can fish,be a vet and kids can even sow there little outfit. I have done photos for the museum and loved working with them.o Sanibel and Captiva Island are beautiful places to go and visit they are close to Fort Myers Beach.  A must thing to do while visiting the area, these are great beaches for shelling and beautiful sunsets.  Sanibel is super cute and has an organic feel to it, make sure you rent a bicycle with the family and ride along the spectacular trails Sanibel is known for. yeah its October 22~mmm yeah where did October go? Who knows.. its my regular topic lately on how fast time passes by. So here I am scrambling to see what Halloween things, crafts, food etc I must do.. I have less than 10 days left.  AND I still need to find a good costume for my little ones first Halloween!! oh and get my daughters Halloween costume ready as well since its home made. Along with all these “Halloween” things.. I have about 20 shoots left to photograph.. :0 No pressure. The problem is that I really enjoy All these crafts but when I am so busy with other things.. I just don’t enjoy It when I am rushing and scrambling. I finally found a few crafts to do at my daughters class this year, gotta love Pinterest. If you are wanting a few ideas check these links out~ great way to decorate cookies. I will try to do this hopefully they will turn out A good website for crafts that you can easily make fast and easy Love those homemade pumpkins with the eyes and nose from magazines, I was thinking of taking photos of the kids and then have them cut out their own eyes, noses etc so they can make themselves a pumpkin that looks like them. That is too late for me to do, but will keep in mind next year. Now if I feel ambitious this would be fun Check this out for unique games that look like fun WE will be playing the doughnut game, I remember playing this game in parties in Mexico. The game cat your tongue where you cant say certain words like “Halloween” “costume” so funny.
